Harare, Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe’s #1 Digital Marketer, SEO Expert & Growth Strategist.
I don't do marketing. I change the trajectory of businesses — and the people behind them.
Over a decade of building digital presences across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the UK.
30+ businesses transformed. A Gold award for the best of what this industry can be.
And a story still being written — from right here in Harare.
About
"I have watched people nearly give up on their businesses because they couldn't be seen. That gap — between giving up and breaking through — is where I live."
I'm Walter K. Mwanyisa — founder of Wale Digital Lab, award-winning digital strategist, and one of Zimbabwe's most distinctive entrepreneurial voices. My work sits at the intersection of technical SEO, brand strategy, and business transformation.
I got into this industry not because I love algorithms — though I do — but because I saw what invisibility does to a business and the person running it. I've watched good companies starve because no one could find them. I've also watched those same companies breathe again once the right strategy met real commitment. That transformation is what I'm actually selling.
Beyond the agency work, I'm a storyteller. My ongoing LinkedIn series — Zimbabwe is Not a Place to Follow Your Dreams — is an honest, sometimes uncomfortable, often funny account of what building a business in Zimbabwe actually looks like. It's drawn from fifteen years of living it.
I'm also building Harare Spring & Suspension — Zimbabwe's first dedicated suspension parts price directory with order functionality. Because transformation isn't just for other people's businesses.
What I Do
I start with where you are and where you need to be — then build the digital infrastructure to get you there. Not tactics for the sake of tactics. Transformation with a clear destination.
Deep technical audits, local search domination, and long-term organic growth strategies. I understand how search engines work at a foundational level — not just the surface best practices.
From buyer persona research to visual identity and positioning — I build brands that stand for something. Businesses that are clear about who they are attract the right people.
Fast, secure, conversion-focused websites built with SEO at their foundation. Your website should be your best salesperson — not a digital brochure collecting dust.
Facebook, Meta, and Google Ads campaigns built around business outcomes, not vanity metrics. 2,000+ qualified prospects generated for InnoFund UK in a single engagement.
For entrepreneurs who understand that they are the business. LinkedIn strategy, content positioning, and authority building — turning your story into your most valuable asset.
Selected Work
From a hotel in Victoria Falls to a logistics company in Harare. From a UK property firm to an insurance broker building authority online. Across every engagement, the mission is the same: make this business impossible to ignore.
Industries
During COVID-19 lockdown, when most businesses were contracting, a full digital marketing overhaul and business systems implementation doubled Oriental Spring Services' revenue. This is what happens when the right strategy meets the right commitment.
Writing
My writing is not thought leadership for the sake of it. It's documentation — of what building a business in Zimbabwe actually costs, looks like, and can become. Published on LinkedIn and at walermwanyisa.com.
The story that started everything. About TJ, about Data Age Solutions, about what it means to be brilliant at something that belongs to someone else — and what you do when you finally decide to cook for yourself.
